Receipt in manuscript on Union Pacific Railroad Company Engineer's Office letterhead and signed by Brigham Young, Jr. for $45,124.25 in cash received from C. L. Frost "on account of grading on Temporary Lien at Head of Echo and on Mormon Contract." A pencilled calculation in an unidentified hand appears on bottom of letter. Verso contains the note "Brigham Young, Jr. receipt."
